Profile
Bin Zhu is an Assistant Professor and PhD Supervisor at the School of Public Health and Emergency Management, Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech). He holds dual PhD degrees from Xi’an Jiaotong University and City University of Hong Kong, and completed postdoctoral training at the School of Medicine, University of California, San Diego (UCSD). His research focuses on interdisciplinary approaches to health policy. Dr. Zhu serves as a Youth Committee Member of the Health Management Branch, Chinese Preventive Medicine Association; Committee Member of the Spatiotemporal Intelligence and Public Health Branch (Preparatory), China Association for Geographic Information Society; and Senior Collaborator for the Global Burden of Disease Study at the University of Washington. He has led over 12 research projects, including: National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) Young Scientists Fund (Category C)、Two Guangdong Natural Science Foundation General Programs、Guangdong Natural Science Foundation Young Scientists Fund、Two Shenzhen Natural Science Foundation General Programs、Shenzhen Medical Research Fund (Public Health Special Project)、Guangdong Social Science Foundation Young Scholars Program、Two Shenzhen Philosophy and Social Science Planning Young Scholars Projects. As first/corresponding author, he has published 50+ papers in international journals such as EurosurveillanceEnvironmental ResearchGeoHealthApplied Geography, and International Journal of Drug Policy, with over 2,000 citations.
