Wang Haidong
Bio:
Wang Haidong, Assistant Professor (Associate Researcher), Ph.D. Supervisor. He received his Ph.D. in Applied Biology from Ghent University (BE), in 2017. From 2018 to 2021, he pursued postdoctoral training in the Department of Virology at Wageningen University (NL). In November 2021, he joined the School of Public Health and Emergency Management, Southern University of Science and Technology. His main research focuses on the transmission mechanisms of mosquito-borne viruses. His research is funded by National Natural Science Foundation of China (Youth Project Category C) and Provincial Natural Science Foundation (General program). He has published research papers, as first/corresponding author, in journals such as Emerging Microbes and Infections, Parasites & Vectors, and Insect Biochemistry and Molecular Biology.
