Basic Profile
Li Xia, Ph.D. in Epidemiology from Karolinska Institutet, Sweden joined Southern University of Science and Technology in 2022. Primarily engaged in epidemiological and molecular epidemiological research related to cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases and aging, using healthcare data, large-scale population cohort data, and molecular-level multi-omics bioinformatic data. Research focus includes prevention and management of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases; aging-related biomarkers and biological age in populations; gene-environment interactions; long-term trends in the health of the aging population; and healthspan. Published scientific articles in international journals such as BMC Medicine, Elife, EBioMedicine, and Heart. Serves as a reviewer for multiple international journals including Aging Cell and Clinical Epigenetics.
