Shenzhen Key Laboratory of Cardiovascular Health and Precision Medicine (Principal: Academician Gu Dongfeng) is a comprehensive research platform focusing on major cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases (coronary heart disease, stroke, heart failure, etc.). The laboratory is committed to analyzing the epidemiological characteristics of diseases, establishing individualized disease risk prediction systems, developing disease prevention and control management applications, elucidating the molecular pathological mechanisms of diseases, exploring new targets for intervention, and proposing new strategies.
At present, the research interests of the laboratory include: (1) the establishment and data mining of high-quality cardiovascular disease cohort data and biological resource bank; (2) Individualized comprehensive prediction of cardiovascular disease risk and its application; (3) Carry out cardiovascular disease prevention and control and health management applications based on real-world clinical big data analysis and mining in hospitals and community health centers; (4) Based on population cohorts and model animals, systematically analyze the key spatiotemporal nodes and molecular network regulatory mechanisms of cardiovascular disease evolution from macroscopic to microscopic. (5) Combining multi-omics analysis of proteins and genes with vascular morphology and function research to find new molecular targets for cardiovascular disease intervention and propose new intervention strategies.
The laboratory has introduced 3 Research Assistant Professors, trained 5 postdoctoral researchers, 7 doctoral students, 5 master's students, and 2 young scientific researchers.
