Pathogen Biology and Infectious Disease Laboratory Platform
2025.07.26
Pathogen Biology and Infectious Disease Laboratory Platform focuses on pathogen detection and pathogenic mechanism research, integrating molecular biology, cell culture and precision analysis and detection functions, with a total equipment value of more than 3 million RMB. The platform is equipped with a complete molecular detection system, including Applied Biosystems fluorescence quantitative PCR instrument, Thermo Fisher gradient PCR instrument, Bio-Rad electroporation instrument, and fully automated gel/chemiluminescence imaging system, which can efficiently complete gene amplification, protein analysis, and pathogenic nucleic acid quantification. The cell experiment module is equipped with multiple Thermo CIENTIFIC CO2 incubators, biological safety cabinets and Nikon research-grade inverted fluorescence microscopes, combined with Eppendorf ultra-low temperature refrigerators (-86°C) and liquid nitrogen tanks to meet the needs of pathogenic microorganisms for isolation and culture, long-term storage and live cell observation. Sample processing capacity covers the entire process: Eppendorf 5910 RI large-capacity refrigerated centrifuge and Xiangyi high-speed centrifuge group support large-scale sample preparation; Thermo NanoDropOne Ultra-Micro Spectrophotometer and Generalization UV Spectrophotometer for rapid nucleic acid/protein quantification; The Xinzhi ultrasonic crusher and Yamato autoclave ensure the safe inactivation of pathogens and experimental compliance. The platform is also equipped with precision auxiliary equipment such as Millipore ultrapure water system and Eppendorf electric suction aid, and dynamically updates the equipment ledger (including purchase date, agent and storage location information). At present, it can fully support the scientific research needs of pathogen gene editing, immune response research and clinical testing, and provide key technical support for the prevention and control of infectious diseases in the college.
